I was thinking early last month about how to go about some advertising, when this fell in my lap.
I received a phone call out of the blue from a journalist for a local "lifestyle" magazine (circulation about 60,000) and "would I agree to her publishing an article about me and my guitars"
Came out recently.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
