As many of you know, my daughter Leanna is headed off to college this fall, Grand Valley State University, Bio Medical.

When I started the OLF in 2003 she was 5 and the main reason for the no cussing rule :-) She would sit on my lap and we would browse the OLF looking at all the pretty guitars.
Eventually she would join me in the shop and began working on her first and only guitar. So far she has done 100% of the work but sadly its still not done

While in High school she took duel enrollment classes at our local Community College and made the deans list.

As much as it pains me, I can confidently say she is ready to take the next step in her life and live away from Mom and I as an adult. Its both satisfying and crushing.

[b]So in an effort to help her prep for college, her needs are great, I am selling a few of my guitar sets.
I have upped my offering
3 sitka tops from my personal stash
2 back and side sets of myrtle AND a cocobolo Bridge blank and matching coco headstock overlay
for 200.00 including shipping to USD.
Currently I have 5 total packages ready to ship.
For what it's worth were trying to save up enough to send her off with a new refurbished apple laptop.
The tops are excellent and out of my personal stash, the myrtle sets are figured not flamed. Some dark and light streaking. Very pretty sets to be sure.
All sets are large enough for a Dreadnought guitar.
I don't have time to list images, suffice to say, you will not be disappointed. If you are, I will swap out what ever you dont like for something else.

If you are interested in jumping in on this and helping my daughter ;-) You can paypal me at lance@kragenbrinkguitars.com
Please include your address, and in the subject please put Leanna College Sale.

Sorry for making this more of a lifeblog than a "classifieds ad" I just wanted to explain what we were up to :-)

Thanks so much folks!

Best
LanceK

Thank you John!
One down and 4 to go!

Just to be clear folks, 200.00 gets you 3 sitka tops from my personal stash
2 back and side sets of myrtle AND a cocobolo Bridge blank and matching coco headstock overlay!

We are in a rush to prep our daughter to send her off to GVSU and as I am sure any parent knows, this are adding up fast! :-)

It's a shame you're not doing international, that's a great deal.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
