Right hand column (e,g - inbox) headed Mark, tick boxes, go to bottom of page find box "Mark/Unmark as important".
On the right, click arrow head pointing down, chose "Delete marked"
Repeat as required different pages.
Done

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

I don't think there is one, certainly haven't see any kind of PM history. Browsers have a history, but messages/email doesn't (I stand to be corrected?)
As there doesn't seem to be one, just kind of guessed he was asking about deleting "historical" messages.

There isn't a "History" other than the PM's themselves

Look on the right side of each PM. There is a check box.

Now at the bottom of the page there is a drop down box that lets you delete the marked PM's by hitting the "GO" button.

Here is a screenshot of it for you.

Cheers,
Bob
