I'm very sorry to hear about your cancer, Beth, but I'm sure that you'll kick it's ass, and get back to doing everything you enjoy. You'll have the prayers of a whole lot of OLF'ers coming your way!

Alex

Every time I buy a piece of wood I write on it the amount I pay for it, species, and date I bought it. I do this mostly so I can keep up with how much money I would have in a build, but also my relatives would have some idea of the value should I pass on.

Best of luck with your recovery Beth!

I'm so sorry to hear that, Beth. Also very thankful it was caught so early and that you're filled with hope.

Beth I just saw this a day late. Best wishes that everything goes well. My wife went through treatment for breast cancer 3 years ago and is doing well, but I know now how it becomes the spectre that doesn't ever really leave. I hope you do well.

And! I am really trying to put that inventory together so that anyone who has to deal with it, can.

Yes I was at a "garage sale" put on by the family of a deceased luthier, an amateur but obviously a serious one. The family knew nothing of what the bits and pieces were, binding router jigs, radius dishes all the other jigs & tools we have.. I explained what I could but it had little effect on what they wanted for it.. Lots of wood, some of which I bought and a cabinet maker came and bought most of the rest.. Whatever was left at the end of the day was going to the dump I was told.. I took what I could but only have limited space so could not take it all.. I have passed some on..

Hopefully I won't have a stick of wood left when I go, having built myself to death LOL but I know there will be lots to deal with, guess i should add all that to the plan and Will....

On a side note it's a bit of an interesting feeling building with someone else's wood you acquired this way...

Kerry

I have willed my considerable stash and tools to one of you folks. Won't say who as it might be detrimental to my longevity!

Humor aside, my prayers for your recovery Beth.

Beth,

Sending positive energy your way for a speedy recovery.

As for my stash! I plan on being shot by a 20 year old jealous husband in about 54 years, when I am 120. Hopefully I will have sold most of the cords of lutz billets I possess by then.

Bob
