This edge gluing tool works particularly well at applying side pressure and holding down the stock to a flat surface while it's being glued. I built some versatility into it to deal with a range of heights and widths.

Thought I'd show it off...and yes....it's metal...but perhaps aspects of it could be useful to others. It could be replicated in wood and work very well.

Great looking fixture ..... but it looks extremely slow to use......

I think aluminum bar clamps might be more practical and faster -- your device looks very nice though.

Haha...there's nothing slow about using it except waiting for the epoxy to cure. The day THAT'S a problem is the day I heat the bottom platen to accelerate the cure.

Once the glue is applied it takes about five minutes to jig it up in this fixture.

Those top clamps only apply a small amount of pressure. The only purpose is to keep the stock from buckling in the joint area. The stock can actually move sideways a little. These just hold it flat down to the plate.
