Why did you not use the CNC to radius the board and cut the slots?

right now I am not set up for 3d machining which is required for radiusing , and didn't have a .023 bit to cut the slots , cutting the slots on a table saw is fast and easy.

looks nice!. btw you don't need 3d to machine a constant radius fretboard. it is not a requirement. a true compound? -yes, but not a straight radius if that is what you are making.

what software are you using?

The position markers are not equi-spaced from the fret slots. Is that deliberate?

Using v carve pro, camera angle makes the markers look off

How did you index the slots to get the taper and nut in the correct relationship with the slots?
Looks like you over-cut the nut location... too close to the 1st fret.

It's not your camera angle, it's the location of the cut. Everything got shifted downward...

:(

Sorry to be a downer, but .118" is waaaay too much nut compensation... maybe you were thinking of saddle compensation? .02-.03" is usually plenty at the nut.

Each string is individually compensated by machining nut, see Trevor Gore books, .118 is needed basically for low e, comp is from 0 fret position, the saddle is also compensated as well

I think most people use about .012 by default. That's what you get when you use the (LMI) fret template. What type of CNC is that?

Ah, I see... I guess it doesn't hurt to have extra bone to work with if you don't mind a little extra file work
