No wonder Lance isn't listening--this is the worst version of this song ever recorded. (...Well, one of the worst. The competition is stiff.) Ray Price came on the scene with a good version of this in the early 50's. Kitty Wells did a great cover. For my taste, Lefty Frizzell's is the definitive version.

To point out the obvious: Lance can be reached by PM. He's a nice guy. He cares about this forum. He wants it to continue to flourish. He's too busy to monitor every thread that comes up (one of the forum's strengths, I think).

Seems as if we're having a bit of trouble getting Lances attention. Let's try tugging on his heartstrings.

Give up, Filippo. Le Management here only listens to sponsor dollars, not those of us who put forth actual content and drive traffic to the site, and patronize the sponsors....

this pinned stuff is so anoying that i did not visit this forum and read for a while, it is just too exhausting and takes too much time to search the interesting stuff. keep it clean and simple and remove this pinned thread to...whereever...just my opinion. I want to read here about guitarmaking, machines, tools and wood, but not about birthdayparties or amazon links rember threads....

So that's it then? So anticlimactic. I was expecting a parade with marching bands and drum majorettes.

So how darn long is this post going to be at the top? I think I'm getting tired of it already. Maybe Lance can do something.....

Tough and stringy, but not quite ready for the stew pot.

Yes, time to unpin this. This is so exhausting having to scroll down to get past it.
