I need to get a set of templates to do dovetail joints. I made one and even a minute difference in angle makes a very sloppy fit, turning the whole exercise into trial and error. I know Stewmac sells them but they are rather expensive. Does anyone make a cheaper version of the dovetail template?

LMI has templates made of MDF that are much cheaper. Be sure to shellack them if you go that route.

I just ordered a set... short on money now but I really can't spend 2 days getting a misaligned dovetail joint right on a commission....
