Yes...that binding looks beautiful...elegant.

What's the "15"?

Thanks for the compliment. I love bloodwood binding. The "15" is for Fifteen years of wedded bliss. The guitar was a gift from a woman to her husband for their 15th anniversary. It was also a surprise so the woman and I worked together to get something close to what he would like. The fact that he was crying after he received it could either be good or bad. I'm leaning towards good.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. They are appreciated.

Very cool!

What program did you try importing them to? Every now and then Aperture would do that to some of my images. What file type are they?

The file type was RAW and I am using my iMac to import them to iPhoto. iThink iShould have iChecked them before making the delivery, but iHave never had an issue in the past. 56 black squares were all iHad on my screen.

Todd Stock wrote:
Nice, Tony, but why did you put a TV screen in the middle of the top?

Because it's what all the cool kids are doing Todd. TV screens in car seats, TV screens in the guitar, TV screens in the TV screen!

Nice job! Just curious. How long has it taken you to get to number 10? I'm just tooling up for my first build and I'm wondering about how people have paced.

I build two a year now. I did three once. I started building when my son was 2 and he is 6 now, so I guess I have been building for 4 years already. I have built 10 guitars and an ukulele. There is no pace. There is only build.

High praise indeed. Thanks!

I should add that this is the second guitar to use my bridge design, expertly cut on Andy Birko's CNC. Andy also cut the 15 for me from abalone and inlayed it into an ebony circle so I could do a "cheater inlay" with a Forstner bit. Yippee!

Thanks Andy!

Nice guitar, Tony! Looks really good. I must say, though, shame on you for posting a picture in a room with no baseboards! haha laughing6-hehe

I feel for you on losing your pictures. Really sucks when that happens. I lost ALL of my pictures of every single guitar I ever built due to a computer crash.. Over 30 guitars I have built, I have no record of now.. My website has hardly any pictures of my guitars, save just a few that I have built within the last year or so. Dang technology is not all its cracked up to be sometimes.

Tony: Nice one.............the back looks fantastic...!! Not sure if your using the coping saw for effect in the pictures or you really did cut the top and back outlines with it. If you did use the saw ................it's time for a band saw Tony.......!!! Congrats on the guitar and your tenacity....!!!
Tom

I love it, Tony! I really liked the bookmatched headplate. I am also curious about how long you've been building to get to #10. Congrats!!!

I am so ashamed. No baseboard molding and no goats. My life is a lie!!
Wow. Now I don't feel bad for losing pics of one guitar! That sucks Aaron!

Yes Tom. I really cut the plates out with a coping saw. I picked up a small bench top band saw recently so I may retire the coping saw, but I enjoy the challenge!

Thanks for noticing that Beth! I just commented in a PM to someone how I may be bad at noticing small details in other people's work sometimes.
I have been building for 4 years now. I would not know that except that I started building when my older son was 2. He is 6 if I recall, so that is how I remember. 6-2=4. I'm smart!!
