I just glued the top to the ukelele build I am doing, and the clamp job wasn't perfect (I used the go bar setup) and there are some gaps in some area... I used titebond glue, is there any way to fix this or do I have to start over? what if I heat the joint with an iron until the glue is soft then clamp it closed?

An iron will work, but best do it quick before the glue is completely dry. You may lose some strength, but if you're planning on binding, it should be fine.

I've intentionally put a top on this way with HHG.

Does it matter that much if you were to bind it?

I guess not, I bind them anyways because without binding the instrument looks unfinished...
