You need to include a pilot license package with the plane. Buy the plane and included is a course to get your pilot license. That would make it appeal to those of us who want one but can't fly!

Great minds think alike.
We hope to offer a complete Sport Pilot training program for $3000 - a portion of which can be applied toward the purchase of a new plane.
But first - we need to finish the planes!

Well get to work! I think it's a super cool idea and I may just be a customer one day.

Let's see, should I work on guitars or airplanes?

I set the morning aside to finish the CAD work on my new side bender design, and to cut out some of my molds...
instead, I'm piddling away my time BSing on the forums...
I should get fired!

Yes, back to work! I've got to hurry if I'm going to sell 1000 guitars this year!
(probably have a better chance of selling 1000 airplanes)

If you can make (good) guitars, then you can make airplanes too!

As soon as I can find the right team members - we'll get going.
In the meantime going to build a few guitars.. three a day, to meet my perceived market demand wow7-eyes

I think the learning curve for making airplanes is just a little more than making guitars. Plus the materials cost a tiny bit more. :)

Here is my answer to jump starting the aviation industry. A light sport airplane that can be purchased - ready to fly - for as low as $26,000 (30k nicely equiped, 40k as a hotrod)

We put the project on hold during the bad economy, but are tooling back up again this year.
Here is the proof of concept "wood" plane that it was based on.

BTW, even Cessna is building their new planes in China... I assume they believe they can do things right over there!

Wow, that's the first time I've seen the website of a conceptual aircraft design that doesn't try to get you to put down a deposit! laughing6-hehe

Yeah, a legitimate company only takes money once they actually have something to sell.
But it's more than a concept - we have all the prototype parts built, and have been put together a couple of times. We're getting ready to do destructive testing of a wing and other stuff. Our main focus right now is getting the engine (firewall forward) packages complete.
We're offering three different engine options, and we're building them all up now.

Hey, maybe I should do a slick 3D rendering of my guitars, and start taking deposits on those!
After all, I have the tools and molds "designed", and have the best of intentions!
(does it matter that I haven't actually built a guitar before?)
