Kyle and I have a guitar we built that needs a hard shell case to fit.

We have contacted Cedar Creek about a custom case (10-12 week delivery gaah ) - and may go that route - but we're looking for options. We know that Ameritage is also an option (too pricey for this project) - but right now we're just trying to find something that already exists. (if possible).

We tried the 3/4 Gator hard shell from GC - but it wasn't deep enough.

I should probably emphasize that we are looking for a hard case - and NOT a bag/soft case.

Here are the dimensions

Upper bout: 10"
Waist: 8"
Lower bout: 13.75"
Body length: 17.25"
Body depth at tail: 4.25" (approx)

Not a 3/4 size guitar...a little squat for an 0, but close to it. Call Elderly and ask them to put a 14 fret 0 in the case below to check fit. The archtop should handle the extra depth.

Suggestion: Get a copy of the Martin and Gibson basic dimensions and use those when you are designing...anything exceeding them by much will mean you are buying a custom case with a couple month wait time. Customers hate that stuff.

Thanks Todd. I did a full-size print-out of my body shape and mailed it to Elderly Inst. today. They said that was the safest way.

Would have cost about $50 in shipping if it didn't fit.

Thanks for the lead - it looks like it might work.

+1 on Tamarkin. You could probably squeeze it into their parlor case but ask them.
