Does anyone know where I can buy the materials for a hook and loop drum sander conversion in or near St Louis? We have a Woodcraft, Rockler's, Ace Hardware, Lowes, and Home Depot. I'd like to get this conversion done over the New Year's holiday because one of the springs broke on my drum sander right in the middle of a project I'm trying to finish.

Thanks,

Brad

This is not in St Louis but it is the best price you will find . I was looking through the new Grizzly catalog and accidentally came across this conversion kit for their G1066 24" drum sander. The kit consists of hook and lop material to cover two 24" drums and 80 and 120 grit hook and loop sandpaper for each drum. Part number is H5037. At $32.95 you won't beat the price anywhere. I installed on my own homemade sander and it is working wonderfully well.

The last hook and loop conversion I purchased was from Stockroom Supply. It was an excellent product but the cost was $5.00 per foot and you still had to buy the sandpaper. So, I felt this was a better buy.
