I was looking to borrow a ToneRite. Two people have come to my rescue.

Thanks OLF!

A fish tank aerator and 30 min or less of shop time, and you'll have a permanent backup.

Aaron, can you expand upon this statement?

Mr. Burner,

Paul, I have to apologize for my friend Tony. He is desperately seeking reasons to not fix his Uke. In order to make the $150 challenge limit, he had to shut down the Costa Guitars assembly line. He is finding hand building to be more of a challenge than he thought. He even offered me a job; I think he might have been flirting with me though.

I am totally avoiding doing anything about the buggered ukulele. I am not saying anything about flirting with you Bryan. I'm so hurt that you spilled the contents of our private message into the less private general forum.

Does this mean you aren't going to hire me? I knew I shouldn't have trusted that HR guy. You know the one that looks like you but has glasses a bigger nose and a mustache. . .

Here is a link to some discussion with photos of what others have done. Below is also a photo of Dave Stewart's take on the fish pump Tonerite like gizmo. If you search the forum for "tonerite pump" you should find a number of related threads.

It's my...I mean the HR guy's sweet 'stache, isnt it? I used to laugh at it, but now I am drawn to it like a moth to flame.

That's the guy! he said my complaint would be confidential and the owner of Costa Guitars would never find out who lodged it. At least I think that is what he said, his voice was kinda' muffled under that 'stache and he was speaking in a really bad fake British accent. He reminds me of someone, but I can't place him.

I know the title of this thread says, "no posts needed" so for the record, this post is completely not needed. It is superfluous, extraneous, needless, useless and a wonton waste of a post. I just saw the title of this thread and felt like Paul was telling me what to do again. It made me want to post all the more.
This thread might need a goat pic before I spend the rest of my days posting here unnecessarily.

ToneRite, SchmoRite...if you want to hear a 60 cycle hum in your shop all day long, put the guitar near a bad florescent light fixture.
For years I have put guitars on stands in front of my shop stereo speakers and put on the appropriate tape/record/cd...Kottke, Watson, Atkins, etc...turned it up to a pleasing volume and told the guitar to sit still, listen and learn.

Worked every time! bliss
Now if it had been that easy when I was raising the kids! gaah
