Beaumont isn't that far from the oldest town in Texas, but I was pleasantly surprised this AM to see a nicely written article about Steve & Ryan on page 7A.
Steve apparently educated the writer well, as it described what he does well enough to pass muster here.
There was a whole paragraph on his net income, and I was surprised at how much money he is raking in! bliss
Congratulations Steve, I hope the article is picked up by lots of papers in Texas and the US.

See the new Gossip section.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Looked and looked but can't find that section...............!! Any recognition Steve gets is well deserved. He has an excellant sense of design and I also like how he choose materials to give a look of class that is not overstated. Would still like to get a look at that bank book though..................................!!!

Probably not the entire article:

http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/defau ... 851491.php

There was a larger one in the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel last week but you do need a subscription to view that one.

Great guys, great articles, great guitars.

Steve must have gone camping, or gloating, I was sure he would pipe up by now.
There was no paragraph about his income, that was a joke meant to raise his ire, bad joke.
Hope he'll see it though, Steve has a great sense of humor, right?
