i hve an order for a steel string guitar
can i use maple for neck?
even have african mahogany
is african mahogany hard and stable enough for steel string or just use it for classical..

Rahoul, you can use either of those for the neck, but my first choice would be the mahogany because it's a bit more stable and a lot more easy to work with hand tools.

I have used african mahogany multiple times and love it. I like that it is a bit darker under finish than honduras mahogany.

Rahoul, Like Don mentioned, either one will work, I use both and it is depending on what back and side material I am using, the maple does not have pores to fill unlike Mahog, but it also adds a little more weight.

so sweet all of u friends
im going to use indian rosewood for b and s and engelman for top and ebony for fretboard
i think mapple will have good contrast.
which is more suitable?
