Hey Tony - in the unlikely event that you don't sell a 200k guitar, I might have to take you to the Blue Note next time I am in NYC! Your little side track has been much enjoyed, almost as humorous as my round of golf this afternoon. laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe

Thanks Alex! That would be fun. Sounds like you play golf as well as I do!

As for the strings on my guitars, I have them spun from gold by Rapunzel.

It wasn't Rapunzel that spun straw into gold; it was the Miller's daughter in the Grimm tale Rumpelstiltskin (English/American spelling).
Let's keep our Fairy Tales straight here please...
pvg
In Tony's defense, I believe the Miller's daughter was busier than heck, and sub-contracted to Rapunzel rather than lose the business to an offshore sweat shop.

Alex is right of course. The miller's daughter was too busy.

Sorry, sorry, sorry!! Didn't mean to lead anyone astray; we all know that neither of these ladies had a clue as to how to spin straw into gold!
It was, of course, Rumpelstiltskin who did the spinning... laughing6-hehe

True, but it really sounds better to have a couple of pretty girls doing the spinning, and from a marketing standpoint it would be much more $$ profitable$$. Maybe if Helen of Troy weren't so busy....

At Costa Guitars, we dont check facts. We make them up.

FYI: We recently secured Gary Busey, the apparent king of acronysms, for out TACT staff. Check out his work:

Looks like the guy makes some slick, if somewhat overhyped, guitars. As for AG Magazine much like the local rag 'New Times' that runs a yearly Best Of...along with the corresponding call to get you to advertise. The 'winners' of these things always seem to have some nice, shiny ads don't they?

Inspiration comes in many, often strange, forms.

Truss rods, eh? Well here at Costa Guitars, we use crystals from Superman's Fortress of Solitude. Beat that. We were kind enough not to use Kryptonite so that Superman can enjoy our instruments too. He is however, reduced to a blabbering baby when he hears one of our guitars, much like "Double Rainbow" guy, when he sees a full double rainbow or when he hears one of our guitars.
Dont know who "Double Rainbow" guy is? Here is a link so you can educate yourselves:

And here is the "Double Rainbow" re-mix by DJ somethingorother

Truss rods, Superman crystals, and double rainbow guy crying. At Costa Guitars, we dont let you down.

Is that Mahavishnu John McLaughlin playing a double neck Costa in the back track? So good, I think my ears are bleeding! What's next :?: Billy Crystals :?:

Yeah, I've played 3 of them. One of them which was priced at around $20,000 at a NAMM show a couple years ago,
was great. In my opinion, the others were average and from what I recall were both in the $8-$12,000 range.

Especially when every single piece of leather is brand new Filippo. Total n00bs.
At Costa Guitars and fine leather goods, we run over all of our motorcycle leathers before we sell them using a steamroller, bulldozer, and my mom's minivan. The n00b sheen is gone before you buy them!

We don't do double tops or 10 tops. Our newest innovation is....wait for it.....

No tops! Well, there actually is a top, but it is made out of transparent aluminum created with a formula pilfered from the cinematic classic: Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. The plot of which goes a little something like this: To save Earth from an alien probe, Kirk and his crew go back in time to retrieve the only beings who can communicate with it, humpback whales.

Costa Guitars: Star Trek, time travel, alien probes, humpback whales, Shatner and transparent aluminum. There is something for everyone at Costa Guitars.
Would you like that in pictures? Fine!

Something for everybody:

And of course, we still have the other stuff I mentioned earlier plus much, much more. For example I am in talks to acquire a large quantity of 12 inch wide copper shielding tape. I can not disclose details here publicly, but lets just say I will be getting it for a lower than low, rock bottom, super-discounted, never before heard of, unimaginable, virtually negligible price! ;)

So save your pennies, return some empty cans, kill grandma, whatever it takes. Just get the scratch together to buy a Costa.

Costa Guitars: When you want invisible tops, Rumpelstiltskin, and better than the best.

p.s. And what people don't know ... since the classifieds is kind of a slow place ... those of us that pay for it have felt the need to make up with the lack of bargains with pure humor sale threads. I can easily say the humor on the classifieds is worth my $12 ... So Tony ... just give'em a taste ... don't give'em too much. They gotta pay ...

Part of my inspiration for keeping this thread going was the beak-less pearl eagle thread in the classifieds. As a result, I was particularly giddy, in a very school girl-esque fashion, when I realized I could tie in Albdarned's thread from the classifieds. Plus, I am stuck home with a broken foot, so I need to entertain myself.

...and there is currently a "Blowout Sale" going on at Schenk Guitars. His Insignia Ophirio, which regularly sells for $15,500, is now at the blowout price of only $7990.

I would like to play one of his guitars though. They look really nice. I won't be tradin' in the car for one anytime soon though.

You boys shouldn't pick on Stench guitars. His Inferio model was selected to be bonified. Which of Y'all can say that?

Bonified schmonified.
At Costa Guitars, we don't lower prices when we have a guitar in our inventory, we RAISE them! That's right. The logic to this is flawless. The more something costs, the more exclusive people think it is, thus, the higher the demand becomes for said object among the rich and famous. As a result, you will only see a Costa sitting in inventory for a few seconds if at all.
It's all part of the master plan at Costa Guitars. I can say no more on this without getting a confidentiality agreement from anyone who reads this.

Alex,
I accidentally sent the PM with the details of my Master Plan before I received your non disclosure agreement (notarized and in triplicate of course) so could you please save me the trouble of sending out my hit squad and just go ahead and hook yourself up with some hari kari. Thanks bro! I got you this for the occasion:

Not a real knife...just a picture. Be a dear and buy the knife yourself. Something nice. No need to skimp. You can't take it with you anyway.
