Okay today is the last day to sign up for the OLF Challenge 2. We need more people. The trash talking has already begun and a few of us are guaranteed to embarrass ourselves. Several times.

So please join. If you are unsure whether you should sign up and build an instrument between now and end of November, consider this questionnaire:

1) Are you convinced that your instruments are not as good as they should be? Y/N

2) Do you forget to brush your teeth when you head to your shop first thing after getting up in the morning? Y/N

3) Do 1/4" + 0.125" + 0.0625" in some circumstances add up to 1/2", and you're sticking with that answer? Y/N

4) Are you willing to build in a competition where you will spend 100-150 hours working on an instrument so you can compete against a hawty NewYawker, a couple of paired up builders and a few other questionable characters to win a measly chisel made of damascus steel which is likely to be so aesthetically ornate as to compel you to leave it as tool jewelry and never chisel a chip? Y/N

5) Are you already inundated with existing commitments which make signing up for this event question your dubious wisdom? Y/N

If you answered Y to 2 out of 5 of these questions, or N to 2 out of 5 of these questions, then what we know is that you can count to 2. So with this knowledge in hand it stands to reason that you should sign up for the OLF Challenge 2. Just head on over to that forum and start a thread by COB today!

Don, the rules are already in place; and I didn't even make them!

We are know about that huge pile of zoot you've got sitting there - a golden stash. Certainly you can pile on one more instrument to be built in a scant three month timeframe!
