David, can you put a numer to that?
As in, "How hot IS it?"
We hit 103 yesterday. Oooof!

Steve

P.s.--and here's one for you-- It's so hot I've turned off the bending iron...the sides are bending themselves.

Actually....it'snot hot at all. Perfect weather today to be honest. Heard it's hot in Texas though. And Death Valley California is pretty warm as well.

Tony's right, it is nice in NYC today. But my sister lives in the Texas hill country (where the temps are usually slightly more mild than much of the state) and when I spoke to her yesterday afternoon it was 106 there.

It's so hot here in the ArkLaTex that the egg farms are giving the chickens ice cubes or else they will be laying fried eggs.

No kidding! It seems half the RM West is burning. Here in Utah there are fires burning all over the state. With the firework stands open and no cooler weather or precip in the forecast, it appears it may get worse before it improves.

As clichéd as it sounds, it is so true. Here in St. Louis we have humid summers with ocasional strecthes in the trippe digits. Yesterday it was 107 but only about 20% RH way way way lower than a normal summer. It was hot but bearable. I'll take that over our customary 90s with RH in the 70s any day.

Yeah , I live about 2 hrs from Bryan and it gets 100 here with 70-90% rh its miserable . Walk out the door and in 5 min you look like someone poured a bucket of water over your head . I'll take dry heat anyday.

The "dry" heat here in AZ is not so dry when (or if) the monsoons get started. Then the humidity goes up and the heat stays up too.

Tied the all time record yesterday in Grover NC at 104. According to my thermometer it's only 102 today. I did check, and my sides haven't started bending themselves yet.

I ran out of cold water when I was taking a shower though.
