Just finished this commission.
Honduran Mahogany back, sides and neck,Lutz spruce top (Shane)
25.4"scale, bolt on neck,Gotoh 510 mini tuners.

The sound of this thing is incredible-I wish I could keep it!

It's the first guitar I've built using the Lutz and I am blown away!!!

I take back everything bad I have ever said about Dreadnoughts!!

That's a beauty, Brad! That Lutz is some fine stuff, isn't it?

She's a beauty Brad,
No soundclip then?

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Well... you asked for it-unfortunately my playing does not do this guitar "justice", but I had to ship it out before I could get a pro recording of it.

Really nice Brad. Great stuff as usual.
