Looking to get a soundhole pick up, one that I can switch from guitar to guitar as needed. I was looking at the Seymour Duncan Mag mic, but at $300 I'd like to hear from someone using one first. So what type of pick up would you recommend that can be used on multiple guitars and still provide a good representation of the natural sound of the instrument? Thanks in advance.

I use a LR Baggs M1 alot. I wouldn't consider the tone completely natural, but it's a very usable tone. Baggs has came out with a new soundhole pickup. Alot of people tend to rush after new stuff so there may be some M1's for sale used, and cheap soon. Mine is the passive one. I use it with a Fishman Platinum Pro EQ.

I have one of these http://www.kksound.com/meridian.html clip on Mics from K&K, it puts out a very natural sound. The usual mic issues with feedback in louder usages, but great for open mics or acoustic group playing. We used this at Montreal Guitar show in the mini concert as their mic setup was not real great and we wanted a little more control over the sound. Tim Thompson who played the mini concert for me also used it on a few other builders demo's also. My only issue was it picked up a little too much string noise as it is close to the strings, but Tim clipped it on the treble side instead of the bass side as the K&K literature shows and it was much better. We switched guitars between tunes and it only took a few seconds and Tim was ready to play again, actually it took way more time to touch up the tuning on the second guitar.

I already had a K&K Trinity system preamp so I only purchased the mic and rewired it to work with the Trinity so for me was quite a good deal price wise.

Would it work with a Baggs DI box as a pre?

No they use a different phantom power than most preamps provide, 9 volts I think.
