Ted, that guitar is stunningly beautiful, and inspiring. I'm trying to work on my finishing skills and I'm trying to decide which setup to go with for spraying, such as which type of gun to purchase. Did you use nitro lacquer here? And also, what type of spray gun or system did you use?

Thanks allot!
Yes , the guitar is finished using nitro.
Ive been using the "5437 Production Spray Gun" from stew mac. Its not a great gun but it gets the job done. The key to a nice finish is mostly patience and a lot of work. I Mix the nitro about 50/50 with thinner and spray 16 thin coats. Sand and flatten the surface between every 6 coats, let it hang to dry for 3 weeks.
At the moment I have been using Micro mesh pads to poilish with and then going on to buff with menzerna medium and fine compound using a buffing wheel.
It works fine but Im trying to find a substitute to Micro mesh because I think its a bit to time consuming.
