I prefer to buy these pre-made, but Stewmac only sells 1 Martin scale length and LMI's prices for slotting/radiusing have increased over the years, and I always get nailed with taxes from the US to Canada. Any suppliers out there that I don't know about? Canada is prefered, but any will do!

Thanks,

A lot of other suppliers (anything other than LMI or Stewmac) doesn't sell pre-slotted fretboard and in fact the German supplier I have don't even sand/plane them by default (they'll probably do it for a few more euros per board though, but then that eats right into the cost of the board when I get a bunch of them), so my solution is slot them myself.

To make sure its foolproof I buy the fret scale rule from Stewmac, so I get 4 scales per rule and use that to make a template to slot your fretboard. I converted a standard wooden miter box found in Germany to fit a fret saw, and glued wooden slats at the top to act as a depth stop for the fret saw.

I only do bulk orders, but Shane Neifer is probably making fretboards by now and he's in BC.
