We had the funeral for my father on Saturday. The week leading up to it seemed like one long never ending day.

Now we can focas on moving forward with his affairs.

I'm back at work tomorrow and things should return to normal.

Thanks...
Lance

Good to see you back Lance. So sorry to hear about your loss. I went through the same experience 8 years ago and, as Wud mentioned, it does get easier. Best wishes to you and your family.

My condolances to you and your family Lance, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Even though it has been years for me I know it is not an easy thing to go through. My prayers are with you and your family Lance on healing and the time it take for things to return to normal.

Good to have you back Lance! I can only echo what's already been said. Lost my dad 3 years ago and while I'd give anything for him to still be with us, the pain does give way to the good memories! Blessings to you and your family!

Glad to see you back! It's a sad event, but as others have said, the pain fades with time. I've found focusing on the happy times to be the best thing to do, and remembering all you learned from your parent(s). He is still concerned and watching over you.
