Kim, that's funny.

Seriously, I've found that the sinus rinse is great for cleaning out the dust that we breathe in our shops. My allergies and coughing have been reduced to the point that I no longer need prescription meds to keep it under control. Do follow the directions - I use distilled water as specified.

I've used a neti pot for years........but I think I might be infected with naegleria.

The good news for me is, as Kim pointed out, the amoebas will likely starve if they're trying to eat my brain.

I've heard of the same thing happening from water skiing. It usually happens to people with poor functioning immune systems.
