Hi everyone!

I began this guitar almost 2 years ago, and consider it as my #1. It's finally done! I can now turn the page on it and work on #2 and #3.

The shape is the school master's one.
The bracing is Hauser inspired.

650mm
Redwood top
Indian Rosewood back and sides
Sitka spruce braces, everywhere
Honduran Mahogany neck
African ebony fingerboard
Koa bindings and heel cap
Indian Rosewood marquetery rosette
Indian Rosewood bridge (18 holes)
Bone nut and saddle
Schaller tuners
Em6000 finish, brushed.

Please comment!
Francis

She looks classy
Any shots of the headstock ?
I think ill be looking into doing a brushed finish after seeing that

Now you can finally answer that question with pride, when everyone annoyingly asks
So ...Did ya build a guitar yet?
Congratulations [clap]

There ya' go! Very nice. Lovely rosette. Good wood choices, too. Fabulous silking on that top! I wish my first had looked this sweet. (Fortunately for me and the players' universe out there, my first will never leave my own music room!)

Thanks everyone! I'm very flattered!

I'm proud of my wood combo... I wanted it to look classy and sober. I think I succeed.

I was scared with the brushed on finish. I managed to find some tricks and did a good job. I still need some experience and practice (now i know the importance of surface preparation), but I think it's a reasonable job I did there.

She's opening hour by hour. The sound is deep but have nice and sustainable mids. High notes are also nicely singing. I'm really happy.

Here a shot of the headstock. Still need some buffing.

Thanks a lot!
Francis

Looks like a great job, especially for a brushed on finish. [:Y:]

Here's more shots...
A close up on the 18 holes bridge. I really like this system. I'll never use anything else.
And a detail of the finish gloss.

Really nice! Wow, mitered tie blocks on the bridge....that looks really nice. Incredible first effort (I'm with Patrick, my #1 will not leave my music room...but neither will I get rid of it. It's a great reminder of how far I've come with each new project). Congratulations.
