I just finished what might be my favorite combination - cedar and walnut.
She features a small radiused arm rest, walnut and oak neck, three ring rosette, 24.9 scale, oval sound-port, Gotoh Tuners.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Very nice. I built a walnut and cedar small jumbo earlier this year. Not nearly as nice as yours. The top looks light in color for cedar, is it western red or some other cedar?

I think cedar and walnut makes for an almost unbeatable combination, and yours is particularly beautiful.
Great design choices all around! I especially like your bridge design. That's very elegant. Congratulations on a nice instrument.

Gorgeous looking guitar Steve. The details are great and the walnut is as nice as anything I've seen. I did a mahogany/cedar 000 this summer with a similar armrest. My first 000 but definitely not the last. The shape and sound is very pleasing. Well done.

Another beauty, I have a folder specifically with just images of your guitars. Your aesthetics make them seem more organic, I can't explain it well but love the look.

For your top purfling do you just have a single white line on the outside of the purfling and a single black line inside?

Yes - the walnut radial purfling is surrounded by thin (0.010") maple (almost never white) and black.

I liked it, but much more important, my client liked it. This is what he saide, "In due time I will give you a proper testimonial ............ But for now all I can say is that yes it has exceeded my expectations. I had them set fairly high and sure did exceed them. Looks alone are incredible. I can't imagine ever having or wanting a guitar with bling. Wood is too beautiful! Sound wise it is incredible especially for such a young guitar. The playability is also great even...."
