So I'm starting a build with Tassie Blackwood B/S and a sinker redwood top. I'm thinking of using curly maple for the neck and EIRosewood for the fretboard bindings and bridge.

So I'd like to see some pics of curly maple necks on acoustic guitars you've built.

Here's one I just finished with a curly maple neck and cocobolo centre reinforcing stripe.

Those look awesome fellas!

I'm starting to also think about bursting the neck so it's not as stark of a contrast to the redwood and blackwood....any gibson style neck bursts out there....

I like the contrast between maple and a darker wood (Malaysian BW here).

Built this many years ago. Like the look but would probably use and amber tint if I was doing another.

Oh John, that is just georgeous!

And thank you guys. Very nice indeed and I'm sold, especially with John and Laurent's as what I'm working on is some dark blackwood.
