To use for fp on guitar which works best dewaxed or decanted waxed shellac?

I prefer waxed for my shellac finishes. Button lac is what they used on gym floors before poly, so I figure it's tough enough.I've also been told the lighter the color the harder the shellac, so I buy Kusmi #1 buttons. And as a bonus the wax provides enough lube for FP that oil is not necessary.

I have always decanted the wax off, after making a fresh batch of Kusmi Seedlac, it makes a very clear finish.
But I am always open to alternatives, and may leave some wax in my next batch and give it a try.
Thanks for the tip, B. Howard!

Not much knowledge here re: wax in,wax out,but I'm quite sure there are folks who claim that leaving the wax in results in a less durable finish. I only use shellac as a sealer but do use the de-waxed. Now I've stirred the pot enough I,m ducking........!!!

I also use the waxed version for f.polish.
Dewaxed for a sealer.
