The newest Luthier Tips du Jour instructional video is on Youtube. The topic is a really cool electric guitar finish. Subtitles are available in both English and Portuguese and you can translate them into any other language by using the CC option on Youtube.

Hey Robbie, how do you like that Devilbiss gun? Is that the Startingline gun? I'm in the market for a new gun for clears.

I believe that is a starting line gun. I have and use so many. It does everything I ask it to do. For an entry level gun it is very cost effective.

Just out of interest what type of lacquer do you use and is it suitable for acoustics too?

I belive that was the Seagraves/Mcfaddens recipe available from LMI

I'm very impressed with how the sanding seemed to take only about 1/8 as much time as the spraying.

I guess I need to keep practicing.
