Looks good. It is always nice when you can gracefully recover. That is one deep body, how deep is it?

Jim,

I took some classes from Marc Adams; possibly the best wood worker I've ever met. He told me that good wood working had more to do with covering your mistakes than anything else. Looks like you're on your way to being a good wood worker! One last bit about Marc, I asked him one time what was the best piece he ever made was ... his reply, "the next piece i make will be my best piece".

Sweet - nice save!

That's better than doing what I did - routing the truss rod channel with the router bit insufficiently fixed (oh yeah, I probably was trying to route 1/2" depth at a time, too - first guitar). Anyway, when I saw daylight through the back of the neck I figured I'd gone deep enough.... laughing6-hehe [headinwall] laughing6-hehe

Sounds Like a job for " rout it all out and plug with a Accent strip time" lol laughing6-hehe

I once forgot to tighten the shaper bit and when i turned the shaper on , the bit hit the wall at a very high rate of speed . THAT was a close one .

I've often thought that all woodworking comes down to damage control, and some of the best techniques come from that!
