Hello all,

The Savart Journal (http://SavartJournal.org) is a new multidisciplinary open access online journal featuring peer reviewed research articles on all aspects of the science and technology of stringed musical instruments. The journal began publication on June 15, 2011 with three articles and more are in the pipeline. The Savart Journal is completely open access. Full text of all published papers is available to all visitors to the site.

The journal offers many advantages to authors of research papers. As an open access online journal your articles will be available to be read by and referenced by the largest possible readership. The journal is published continuously, with papers appearing online as soon as they are accepted, and fully indexed by Google and other Internet search engines soon after publication. Authors retain full copyright to their work.

For more information about the journal please see our website or drop me a line. Please feel free to forward this announcement to colleagues that may have an interest in the journal. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing. I wish I would have seen this earlier as I have just finished my Dissertation for my Degree in Musical Instruments. I've linked a few of my friends who are doing a Masters. The articles look very interesting!

This is great! Researchers have had nowhere to publish since the demise of the Catgut Journal.
