I have been Internet free for about 8 weeks now. I am completely overwhelmed at work due to loosing a long time employ. He was 72 and his duties were the same as mine, we did all the data processing for the mailing firm we work for. He went home on a Thursday night and passed away shortly after. Very unexpected.
That has left me as the only person able to do the data processing and it has also left me with no time to web surf or moderate. I have added hours, weekends and week nights to keep ahead.
By the time I get home each night I am mentally drained and just want to shut down, BUT we also have two daughters that have softball 4 nights a week and 4H every Saturday with 6 horse shows coming up soon!.
Not trying to solicit any sympathy or anything like that, I just want you all to know I will be back 'round soon and that I am as committed to moving the OLF forward as I ever have been!

Again, sorry for my absence.

Thanks!
Lance

Glad to hear you're OK Lance. I (and I'm sure most of we) understand. Sometimes things in life build up and can overtake us if we allow them. Sorry to hear about your friend. You've done an excellent job of building a community of superb folks that do well at self moderation. Hang in there and things will mellow out soon.

Well here in the South, "wacked off" is used. But "bumped off" does sound better. Or, just "offed".

But I think some might take "wacked off" the wrong way... oops_sign
