Well, this morning I finally decided to finish up my resaw fence and actually cut some wood. I've been putting it off for quite a while. I guess I was just a bit nervous because I didn't want to totally ruin some good pieces of wood I had. I spent about an hour doing the set up on my saw to make sure it was running straight and true. So, I decided I was ready to start cutting. The piece I was eyeing to cut today was a nice flame maple board (1x8x48") that I got from Menards for $16. Most of you know that a 1x8 is actually .75x7.25". I was only planning on getting one set out of this, so $16 was still a good deal I thought. Well, with my new woodslicer blade, I was able to get two full sets out of this board. I am super pumped about this. So then I decided to slice up a spruce shelf board that came out of my brother's house, and was able to get two sets out of that, and enough brace stock for two guitars. So, today, for $16 I have two full sets cut and ready to become guitars.

Lucky?
You spend an hour setting up your saw, and you call it lucky?
I call it planning, skill, and good tools.
Give yourself some credit, I will...
Great job!
