I though I would share my "bling" pommele sapele pictures with the forum. This stuff has great figure. The two pieces came from the same board. When resawn, some of the sets will have lighter sapwood included (both sides and back). The pieces are approximately 4 inches thick. I had it squared at a friends millwork shop. He planed it with a helical type cutterhead. No tearout at all. Well, resawing this weekend. Sorry for my amateurish photography. I am old and can't always focus too well. Enjoy!!
