I finally got some pictures taken of my 9th build which was completed last month, and figured I should share them here

OM with Brazilian back and sides, Sitka top, ebony binding on body and headstock.

Here is a video of one of my friends playing it on the 1st day it was strung up

That looks really nice, well up to your usual high standard.
Aeromodeller - that explains a lot, needs neat, carefully work, fine detail.
Was it RC, FF, C/L ? Used to do a bit myself, father was keen, brother now too.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

To address some questions

Colin I flew CL aerobatics (FAI F2B) at 11 World Championships on team Canada and Indoor duration F1D at 4 worlds, I still fly the Indoor events though Guitars have taken over my main interest.

Yes I like the sound ports and include them on most guitars, though not on my Dreadnoughts or the 12 fret 000, the type of players who like those style of guitars don't get the idea. My Bluegrass buddies think its a spittoon or somewhere to place a drink. On guy asked when I would install the pickup preamp in the hole.

The tuners are Grover 18:1 staytite but I will not use them any more the quality of the last several sets was crap, tons of slop in the gears, it took 4 sets to make up 3 usable sets. Someone did a tutorial on removing the buttons on this forum.

I have used cutaways on most of my guitars

Thanks for the kind words guys, I will be completing the Small jumbo wedge with the Zootmans wild figured wood in a few weeks, the lacquer needs another week or so of curing then I can buff and assemble.
