Super nice sets of Paldao. Would look great with Ebony bindings.

I really dont want to come off like a jerk, but why does there seem to be a posting in the main forum for every classified posting? Whats the point of the classifieds if people are going to put a redundant post in the main area, less details, every time they post in the classifieds or reduce their prices in the classifieds. If people have access to the classifieds, then they will see the topics there. Im I the only one here that finds this annoying? I dont mean to be a jerk Chris (or others), I just have to finally speak my peace.

Giving the rest of the OLF members notice (on the Building forum) that there's something in the classifieds does not bother me at all. And I'm not even registered for the classifieds, at present. I know we all have things that irritate us. For me it's using "it's" when the "its" is correct--also using the wrong word like "peace" instead of "piece". But, I digress. And after all, this is the Building Forum--not the Grammar Forum!

Zach you are not the only one that finds this annoying. I'll speak for myself here though...I don't find it annoying at all. In fact, aside from the fact that I regularly do it, I love seeing the posts on the main board. I've been the beneficiary of such posts when my brain wasn't in shopping mode.

My goal is to get this stuff sold....and I've been here long enough to notice that individuals on this forum read the forum in different ways. Putting a post on the main board betters my chances of getting ample exposure. My wares don't have to sit there for 30 days for the buyer to notice. Please note I said buyer...not looker. You have to go through lookers to find buyers. It's speeds the process up.

Not sure what the ratio of active forum users to classifieds subscribers is, but it is lower than it was a year ago. How can I make such a statment?...views are way down....so it's a simple assumption for me.

Further...I'd like to see more subscribers to the classifieds and it is my view that posts such as mine create a little more interest.

I'm also glad to see the notifications on the main board. It's given
me a "heads-up" on several things I'm really glad I bought. I don't
always think to go over there and rescan all the listings.

I'll second that. [:Y:] I always appreciate the heads up!

I don't find it annoying at all because it is always easy to just not click on a topic that you have no interest in reading. Pretty simple.

I've done it maybe twice in about 20 listings. My premise is somewhat similar. First off it helps the sale of goods for people who don't remember to check that section. Even more important I feel is that considering how things have went for Lance lately with the Brock debacle I'm guessing he has been out of pocket quite a bit of cash so if posting a thread on the main forum piques the interest of a few and they subscribe it helps Lance out.

I respectfully disagree with you on a couple of levels, Filippo. First of all, I perceive that an announcement on the Building Forum of an item for sale in the classifieds is just that--an announcement, not an attempt to initiate a discussion thread. Secondly--and I might be naive here--but I believe that most active forum members (other than some fly-by-nighters) realize that trying to sell directly on the Building Forum is a breach of protocol. And those who don't, most likely would be enlightened by another member, if not by Lance himself if the occasion presented itself.
