Check out this new sander coming out from Festool in the spring (I think)? I think this sander might be the perfect size (pad size) for
guitar building applications. Not sure what some of the other heads would be good for (besides the buffer attachment). I've been looking for a smaller size orbital and wondered what others might. think.

That looks like a very nice sander, very useful.
Festool makes great tools.
IMO they are too expensive, and a tad on the fragile side.
Perfect for shop tools where they would be taken better care of.
That bay is gonna go for $375. gaah

I have the RO 150. Use it all the time, mostly for rough sanding. but also as a first step in finish.
use to have another orbital sander from festool , not RO. and it gave round marks all over. this one dont do that as much , still some fine ones thought but the are easily sanded of.

Lars.

Metabo makes a nice mini (3") ROS. I think the model number is SXE400. No ned to wait, it has been on the market for years.
