Yes, not a dust mask or respirator in sight... That was before the days of ubiquitous carbide tipped tooling, which increases fine particle dust many fold...
I have a lap steel like the ones being built in the vid, and a '65 Jazzmaster that would have come out of that building too.

I have a book with a picture from the same factory, it shows women putting MOTS on lap steels. What they would do is soak the MOTS in acetone till it was soft and mold it over the wood bodies. Right next to the women and the big drums of acetone are some kerosene heaters. The caption on the pic says that the fire marshal came in, took one look, left and walked a block away to call and tell Fender they failed the inspection.
