I know, I know, white Oak isn't typically used on classical guitars idunno , but I like to try things, and you know if I have to say so myself, sounds good! I am very pleased with the sound and I'm already planning on using white oak on a steel string. This guitar: white oak B&S, Lutz top, stained IR bridge, ebony binding, rosette and heel cap. French polished. Still working on my FP technique. I tried the Rubner tuners...I'm not sure about those yet? Thanks for looking!

Very cool!
Almost looks like bearclaw figure on the back....striking!
That is also a unique and elegant bridge treatment.

Very nice, Clinton! I never would have dreamed that an Oak Classical could look so good. How does it sound?

Thank you, I heard an oak steel string and hoped it sounded as good on a classical, my fit & finish isn't quite up to par with what I've seen here, however, I'm anal when it comes to tone, and I'm very happy with it. I really don't know why more people don't use white oak, maybe light colored woods don't sell as well. Filippo, Yes, it's French Polished. The build up really shows in that picture. For some reason I'm having problems when I FB either spruce or ebony. The grain lines seems to show up after a couple of days, I don't know why. . idunno clinton

It's the nature of French polish. Same with pores. All look filled,. Let it sit for a couple of days, and they are not.

I'm glad you stated that you leave a little grain line on the spruce top. I also thought about using that sign as how much finish I have. I've seen older guitars with the same characteristic and liked the look. I need to record this guitar, hearing is believing....oak sounds good. :) clinton
