Would it be possible to use laminated sides without a form? Just curious.

Do you mean to laminate them without a form to press the veneers together; or do you mean to do the final assembly without a form? The latter is OK. I doubt the former.

It depends also what you mean by a form. You have to press the shape in somehow, and probably don't want to have to hold it while the glue dries. There are many ways of using stuff to make expedient forms, the are way of using the clamped leaves to hold themselves in shape, there might well be a way of using the sides as the form. But at the end of the day a simple form is pretty much the simplest way to get er done.

Here is a picture of a simple laminating form made out of two layers of Kerf Kore. After the sides are laminated they can be assembled without using a form.
