Masked the second archtop bass in preparation for spraying water based dye. I'm attempting a Haan's style moonburst. The weather will be above freezing tomorrow, so will start spraying in the morning.

I was able to complete the neck for the OM and just need to drill the bridge locating holes and can start the Zpoxy pore filling.
I completed a bridge for the Coco wedge today and will start the binding over the holidays. My plan was the wait to finish the OM until the Coco wedge caught up with it, but I will start the pore filling while binding.

Tim ( member handle hockeygoof ) was over and I went through the leveling requirements with him for his OM. The neck is buffed but the body went home with him to get sanded with a few finer grits before we buff it. The guitar is coming real nice and the drop filling that was needed has came out real good. It will probably be strung up by the newyear.

Beautiful work Fred - I always look forward to your updates!
However your attachments here are +/-50Kb - which doesn't allow for a nice detailed view when you click on the thumbnail.
I wanted to view your purfling detail which is always immaculate - but the detailed view was almost the same as the thumbnail.
The attachment limit is 200Kb - perhaps you are compressing your pictures a little too much before posting?

I really like how you used the wormy maple as the inside back to the cabinet. Almost looks like trees in snow...

Working on the neck of my J45 build. Got the tuner holes in. Neck is mostly fitted and set. Also cut out the bridge blank - gotta get that shaped up... Gonna sand that neck good tomorrow and give it the 1st coat of varnish.

90% done, 90% to go.

Thanks

I will post larger next time, up to the last what are you doing thread I was linking to pictures on my Photobucket Pro account but the people with slow computers or slow IP service where complaining about photo size when people do this slowing things down. I cheated a little and instead of opening up my photo program I copied the same pictures I had uploaded to my Facebook FE Tellier Guitars page. I will not be so lazy next time and resize the pictures for this site.

To see full resolution posts check http://s190.photobucket.com/albums/z228/fetellier/2010%20guitar%20builds/
The current builds are on pages 5, 6 and 7 of that album.

Fred

I inlayed my rosette into my L-00 top this week and cut the sound hole.
Rosette is ready to be inlayed.

Not building anything....we are hoping to move so I'm just fixing up the house & cruising real estate sites...! I'm hoping to expand the ever expanding shop space...I'm shooting for no less than a 2 car garage next time around...!

Once the house is ready I'm hoping to get moving on some current orders.

A lot of beautiful work, I love the oval soundholes on the player side of acoustics. Just awesome, Merry Christmas.

Nothing guitar related. Spent the past 2 weeks making a jewelry box with 2 sliding interior trays out of Mahogany, Wenge and Incense Cedar for the wife. Decided to use dowels and had major issues with the doweling jig I purchased. Ended up taking it back twice and making lots of holes that didn't work [headinwall]. Ended up getting a single coat of varnish on it in time to present it for xmas, but told her it's got a sanding line that has to come out and 4-5 more coats of varnish yet before it's hers. Overall was a fun side project.
