Hello friends.
There is a little confusion.
I have seen on the internet that many guitar necks are made of
mahogany , sapele , cedar.

some have guitar tops of .
mahogany, sapele , cedar.

some have back and sides of
mahogany, sapele , cedar.

can please any one tell me that can we use the same wood for making guitars
i.e whole guitar made up of mahogany , sapele or cedar.
also any idea of rubber wood

Lots of examples of total Mahogany guitars. Rubber trees are related to Maple but the wood resembles Mahogany grain. The lumber I've seen is too narrow for guitar backs.

Most woods that are called "cedar" have nothing to do with true cedars (cedrus genus, conifers).
Western red cedar (used primarily for soundboards) is from the cypress family for example (conifers), so is Port Orford cedar, while Spanish cedar (used primarily for necks, linings, blocks, sometimes back & sides) is from the meliaceae family (deciduous trees).

Yep, same deal at the ANZLF. This guy is not interested in anything but your money. He joins up and ask the same questions via cut and paste..and then proceeds to milk the membership list of the forum for email addresses from your profile and uses PM to target his spam. That is why we canned his ANZLF account. I would not buy anything from this guy simply because of these questionable business tactics.

Sorry for all the members for spamming.
i forgot myself that i m amatuer luthier and started promoting myself as a supplier.
this happened because i had invested a lot in other guitar parts and as i m student
i wanted to recover my expenses as early as possible but instead of that it damaged my image.
i paid that by losing my ANZLF membership. and i m very regretful for that.

Also i ask the same questions on different forums bucause there are hardly 3-4 luthiers
in our country.
so i ask on different forums so that i can get variety of solutions from different luthiers around the world.
i m very glad to say that all members are very co-operative and have like thier responses.

I m sorry once again to members to whom i have spammed.
i will definitely not repeat the same mistake on this forum.....

Hardly, more likely a brief cooling off period before its back to business as usual.. the mods team at the ANZLF gave this guys several warnings before we finally lost patience.

With over 1,150,000,000 people in India, I find it a little difficult to believe that only 3 or 4 of them are into building guitars...

On the chance that he means it:

The top of the guitar has a different 'job' than the back, and the neck has another set of constraints entirely. To get the most sound possible out of the limited power of the strings you want the top to be as light as possible while still being stiff enough to resist bridge torque over time. for that softwoods work the best. The back, on the other hand, has a role as a reflector as well as a resonator, and it seems to help to make it heavier than the top, and to use a wood that has lower internal losses than most top woods do. For the neck you are most concerned with stability and stiffness, with weight being a secondary constraint.

Some woods work well for both necks and backs. Generally speaking the use of a hardwood for the top is most common on 'acoustic/electric' instruments, where limiting the top response in the interest of lessening feedback is a consideration, and lots of acoustic output is not, so much.
