Here are some shots of a couple of classicals that I am finishing the French polish on. Should be making music early next week.

Beautiful work as always Robbie. How many FP sessions do you usually go through before completion?

If you are familiar with the method I present in my finishing dvd, I level with sandpaper once, maybe twice. Each polishing stage has 3-5 repetitions before leveling. I then spirit off a couple of times and then I am done. Usually this is enough for my tastes but occasionally I will do more. I usually go until my arm falls off or I am happy with the results, whichever comes first.

Gorgeous! I need to keep at it longer on my next one and see if I can get to that level of gloss
I also need to get the technique down with both hands so I don't end up looking like a crab with a massive right arm and a tiny little left one Well, not any more than I do already. I can't imagine the pain of doing two of them in a row

I noticed that you build a short tornavoz at the sound hole.
Does that make any difference to the sound compared to your guitars w/o the short tornavoz?

Thanks everyone. Yes, I believe the tornavoz does make a difference. I am still experimenting with it and have only done it on about a half dozen guitars.

Yes. I am slowly making my way through the editing process. So far, I have over 6 hours of edited lessons ready to go. I am on chapter 6 and will have about 18 chapters when finished. Each chapter has several lessons. The one on the top has 22 lessons. This thing is very detailed and therefore it is taking me a lot of time to do the editing.

I have always used that style of end wedge inlay for my classical and steel string guitars. I have never had any complaints so I continue to use them.

Those look very nice Robbie, it's a pleasure to see nice dark straight grained Indian rosewood for a change!

Yes, this type of rosewood is getting harder and harder to find.

do you use rottenstone?
