Todd, I have a set of Anigre I picked up some time ago. I am a fan of Mahogany. How would you describe the tone of Anigre compared to Mahogany? Also what tops are best matched with Anigre?

Thanks

Thanks for the input. I've got a great set I'm keeping for a bigger guitar for myself. No problems with the bend on the cutaway? I'm guessing you used Supersoft? I was thinking of a J-200ish. I think I will go with a Cedar top just because I don't think I've ever played a Cedar guitar that I didn't like. Also no shortage of it in this part of the world. :D

And here's to all you Vets here and south of the border. Today is our Remembrance Day.

Cheers,
Danny

Todd, what's that bottom picture of? It looks j-45ish. It looks good in any case.

Todd, Thanks for the info. I just finished a slope Dred and really like the way it came out as far as tone goes. I did the same as you with some forward shifting of the bracing. Just seems to have that balanced chimey sound that is pleasing.

Great looking guitar Todd!!

I love curly Anigre. Nice looking stuff. I also love the razor mottle figure in some boards. Not to crazy about the plain stuff. Looks like European Furniture for the late fifties and early sixties. I think it is used extensively on "Mad Men".
