I'm hosting a guitar gathering at my house in Temecula on October 16. If you want to come and talk building, play, show your latest intrument(s), and have a good time let me know. I invite folks from the AGF. If the weather is good, we should have a nice turn out.
Peter said he will be there - That makes 2 OLFers. I'd love to meet more of you!
John S Kinnard will also be there.

Steve,

I would love to come down but I will be out of town. gaah Every month or so I come down to the Pala area and play in a few Poker Tournaments. I will give you a call or a pm next time I'm down there and maybe stop by to say hello. Have a great time!

Philip

I'll have to do it again and plan better. I was kayaking last week near the cliffs. It was a great day. The water was clear and we could see dozens of leaped sharks. The wave were large and crashing on the caves. It was pretty nice.
Do you do that?

Hi Steve,
I'm a rookie working on my second guitar and here in Palm Desert there aren't many Luthiers, so I'd love to come and talk shop. I'm even brave enough to bring my first guitar.

Thanks

Yes
I love swimming at the cove by the caves. I do kayak there as well

I've had a few PM's from guys that say they will be there. I'll let them post here if they want.
Anyone else want to come?

Although I live way up here in Ojai, just south of Santa Barbara, I would love to come. But darn it, I can't because of a previous commitment.

I'll look forward to the next one should you ever do it again.

I'll be sure and post the next one - which might be in the spring.

You might want to come to this one anyway. There will be one or two upper tier builders attending.

Pictures to follow.

I wish I could join you all this weekend, but work has been too busy lately. (And students start making their necks next week!) Thanks for the invite and hosting, Steve. Hopefully I can join the next gathering.

Steve,
Yes, I teach Engr at USD. My favorite class (as you might guess) is a machine shop / woodshop lab -- the students build simplified acoustics for the woodshop portion.

I got to say thank you to Steve for putting this thing on. It was great meeting people and playing others guitars. It was great seeing Steve's setup and throwing around ideas. Peter brought his beautiful fan fret baritone. I got to play one of Kathy Wingert's instrument, what a piece of work that was. Great Lady too! It's great meeting AGF'ers too!

If you have another in the spring like you're threatening I'll be there! Steve, Thanks Again!
