Well, after letting the lacquer harden for a couple weeks, I sanded and buffed the body yesterday and glued on the bridge.

Today I polished the neck and glued it one, as well as attached the tuners. Should get it stringed later today. bliss

Probably my best polishing job so far, though still plenty of room for improvement.

That is Soooo cool - as much as I have always felt more motivated when working with nice woods.. seeing this is kind of inspiring. My friend and Mentor, has been doing something similar we all recycled/reused pieces, but as its a side project from the day job (pro classicals) he's taken SOOOOO long (he may spot this post so Hi, David beehive ;) ) so good to see what is possible with 'alternative materials' - will have to give that a go to....
