Here are a couple of mine. The maple is from a tenor guitar and the other is a recent cutaway.

I stole the angled curve from someone here, I steal everything I can. Don't tell anyone, but the curve just happens to match the top roller on my stationary belt sander ;)

I dunno ... as pretty as the heel is, I was more smitten with the purfling work ... Ken it is time to share some more photos of that guitar, and tell us a bit about it ...

Filippo

Yeah, Filippo, I was exclaiming over the entire picture. Everything.
That back, those sides, that purfling, and--oh yeah--that heel cap.
Shazaam!
Or to quote the Don, "dang" .

I must admit that on a light colored guitar, I like tortoise shell bindings.

Hey Laurent, send that guitar down here.
We can fix that for you! laughing6-hehe

Seriously, that looks pretty player-friendly.
Any Rick Turner influence there?

A few of you asked about the guitar attached to my heel cap so here is a previous post http://luthiersforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10101&t=18229&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=tiger+myrtle with a few pics.

Here's one I did a while back that I kinda liked. Not really the best picture, though.
