Any good for fretboards? It seems like a good wood for it. It is quite rare and from south america. Here's a picture of some i have.

I think that anything hard enough, that is stable and not too porus, can be use for FB...

It's alot like rosewood, just a different color. Very dense. Taps about the same.

The pores will not matter if the wood is hard & stable.
Look at Braz. & Indian-they are loaded with pores.
