My 12" wheels are the ones that came with the machine. My 14" 's came from Grizzly.


Added: I believe someone's already said, the compound that comes in the kit doesn't work good for guitar finishes, at least not for me.

Yes, I'm using the 12" wheels that came with the 'kit' from Caswell. I can't recall if I bought some extras, but there's a pretty thick buff on each end, with the (3-4??) wheels stacked together.

As I said, I'm not very experienced so my opinions on this aren't worth much!

I did have a 'homemade' buff years ago (I had access to a machine shop to thread the shaft) with a 1/3 or 1/4 HP motor on it. It would definitely throw work if you made a mistake, so I think that it's best to use good technique rather than depend on low power to keep the guitar from 'flying away' .
